The app you actually want is called Lennox Home (listed as “Lennox Home” on the Apple App Store and Google Play, published by Lennox Industries). It covers every current app-connected iComfort model: S30, E30, M30, S40, E40, M40, and L40. If you’re trying to log into an older, separate “iComfort” app or the lennoxicomfort.com website and it’s failing, that’s not you doing anything wrong: Lennox is retiring that older system, and your existing iComfort credentials work directly in Lennox Home with no new account needed.
Why “iComfort login” doesn’t point to one single thing
“iComfort” has covered three different account systems over the thermostat line’s life, and which one applies to you depends on your model and when you set it up:
- Lennox Home (current): the app for every model sold today, plus S30/E30/M30 owners who’ve migrated over.
- The old “(S30/E30/M30) iComfort T-Stat” app and its matching website, lennoxicomfort.com: still technically reachable, but Lennox’s own support page says this app “will be supported until Fall of 2025,” with removal from the App Store and Google Play starting in August. If you’re on this app and it stopped working or stopped updating, that’s the sunset, not a bug on your end.
- myicomfort.com: a separate, older system tied to the original “iComfort Wi-Fi” thermostat (catalog 10F81), which predates the S30/E30/M30 generation entirely. There’s no confirmed path folding this one into Lennox Home.
If you don’t know which one you’re on, the fastest test is to just try downloading Lennox Home and signing in with whatever email/password you already use for your iComfort account. Lennox states those credentials carry over automatically.
Logging into Lennox Home (current models and migrating S30/E30/M30 owners)
To log in with an existing account:
- Download Lennox Home from the App Store or Google Play (search “Lennox Home” or “Lennox Smart Thermostat App,” both surface the same listing).
- Open the app and sign in with your existing iComfort email and password. If you previously used the S30/E30/M30 account system, the same credentials work here; your thermostats and settings transfer automatically.
- If you have multiple thermostats already registered, they should appear once you’re signed in. If one doesn’t, use the app’s “add thermostat” flow and enter the 5-digit PIN shown on that thermostat’s screen.
To create a new account (first-time setup, no existing iComfort login):
- From the app: open Lennox Home, tap Sign Up, and enter your name, phone, email, and password, then agree to the End User License Agreement.
- From the thermostat itself: go to Menu > User Account > Create New Account, enter the same info (name, phone, email, password), choose your email-update and dealer-notification preferences, agree to the EULA, then enter your address.
Note what’s not in that list: a dealer code, installer ID, or activation number. Basic homeowner account creation doesn’t require one. (If a technician mentions a dealer ID during a new-equipment install, that’s about the system’s equipment-communication setup, not the homeowner login.)
Your old account still exists, you’re not starting over
If you already have an iComfort S30, E30, or M30 account, don’t create a second one in Lennox Home. Signing into Lennox Home with those same credentials pulls your existing thermostats and settings over automatically. Creating a brand-new account instead just gives you an empty one with no thermostats attached, and you’ll have to add them again with each unit’s PIN.
If you do end up with two separate accounts by accident, Lennox’s own fix is to unregister the thermostat(s) from the old account first (on the thermostat: Menu > Settings > Unregister System, or “Move Out” to clear all systems at once), then add them fresh to the account you want to keep.
Login is not the same step as connecting to Wi-Fi
This is the mix-up behind a lot of “I can’t log in” searches: account login and Wi-Fi pairing are two separate menus on the thermostat, and getting one right doesn’t fix the other.
- Wi-Fi pairing (connecting the physical thermostat to your home router) is at Menu > Settings > Wi-Fi. Success looks like checkmarks across the thermostat’s connectivity status indicators.
- Account login (signing into the app/web account that lets you control it remotely) is at Menu > User Account.
A thermostat can be fully connected to Wi-Fi and still show you a login screen in the app if you haven’t signed in yet. In the other direction, being signed into the app doesn’t help if the thermostat itself was never joined to your Wi-Fi network. If your app says it can’t find or control your thermostat, check the Wi-Fi status on the unit itself before assuming it’s an account problem.
Forgot your password?
- On the thermostat: go to Menu > User Account > Email > Forgot Password and follow the prompts.
- In the Lennox Home App or on the web: on the sign-in screen, tap/click “Trouble Logging In?”, which leads to a password-recovery page tied to your account email.
If you’re still on the legacy lennoxicomfort.com portal, the same “Trouble Logging In?” link is present on its login page and routes to a dedicated recovery page. Either way, recovery goes to the email address on file for the account, not the thermostat itself, so an old or abandoned inbox is the most common reason recovery emails don’t show up.
Which iComfort models can actually log into an app?
“iComfort” branding doesn’t guarantee Wi-Fi. Here’s what’s confirmed connected, independent of whether the model wires conventionally or communicates with Lennox equipment (a different question; see our iComfort wiring guide for that split):
| Model | Wi-Fi / app-connected? | Current app |
|---|---|---|
| S30 | Yes | Lennox Home (migrating from the retiring iComfort T-Stat app) |
| S40 | Yes | Lennox Home |
| E30 | Yes | Lennox Home (migrating from the retiring iComfort T-Stat app) |
| M30 | Yes | Lennox Home (migrating from the retiring iComfort T-Stat app) |
| 10F81 (original “iComfort Wi-Fi,” discontinued 2019) | Yes, but on a separate, older system | myicomfort.com (no confirmed migration path to Lennox Home) |
Every current model has Wi-Fi and an app account, including the E30 and M30 despite both being conventional 24V thermostats on the equipment side. Communicating vs. conventional wiring and Wi-Fi/app connectivity are separate specs. Don’t assume one from the other.
If you have the original iComfort Wi-Fi (10F81)
This is the oldest device in the lineup and it runs on its own system, not lennoxicomfort.com or Lennox Home. Per Lennox’s own support page for it, you have to register the thermostat from the unit itself first (entering an email address on the device, then confirming it via a link Lennox emails you) before you can finish setting up a myicomfort.com web account with a password and profile details. If you’re stuck at this step, the registration has to originate from the physical thermostat; there’s no way to create the myicomfort.com account first and pair the device to it afterward.
FAQ
What is the real Lennox iComfort app called? Lennox Home. It’s the current app for every app-connected iComfort model (S30, E30, M30, S40, E40, M40, L40). There used to be a separate “(S30/E30/M30) iComfort T-Stat” app and a lennoxicomfort.com website for the older three models specifically, but Lennox is retiring both in favor of Lennox Home.
Why did my iComfort login suddenly stop working? Most likely the S30/E30/M30 app sunset, not a bug. Lennox’s support page states that app “will be supported until Fall of 2025,” with removal from the app stores starting in August. Download Lennox Home and sign in with the same email and password; your account and thermostats transfer automatically.
Do I need a dealer or installer code to create an account? No. Basic homeowner account creation (on the thermostat or in the app) only asks for your name, contact info, password, and address, plus an EULA agreement. A dealer-notification checkbox during signup is an optional preference, not a required code.
Is logging into the app the same as connecting my thermostat to Wi-Fi? No. Wi-Fi pairing happens at Menu > Settings > Wi-Fi on the thermostat; account login happens at Menu > User Account. A thermostat can be on Wi-Fi with no one signed into the app, or vice versa.
How do I reset a forgotten iComfort password? On the thermostat: Menu > User Account > Email > Forgot Password. In the app or on the web portal: click “Trouble Logging In?” on the sign-in screen and follow the emailed recovery link.
Which iComfort thermostats can even use an app? S30, S40, E30, and M30 all have Wi-Fi and use Lennox Home. The original iComfort Wi-Fi (10F81) is Wi-Fi-connected too, but through a separate, older portal at myicomfort.com, not Lennox Home.
Last reviewed: August 2026. Lennox’s app names, sunset timelines, and account flows have changed multiple times on this product line and can change again; confirm against the current App Store/Google Play listing and lennox.com support pages before troubleshooting.
