How to Reset Honeywell Thermostat Without a Reset Button
There are few ways of resetting a honeywell thermostat without a reset button. These include, turning off the power at the circuit break for 10 seconds, by using the menu settings or by removing the batteries and reinserting them in the opposite direction.
The first thing you want to do is know what model you have to apply the appropriate reset method. Resetting a honeywell thermostat across different models is pretty much the same.

- A factory reset

How to reset a honeywell thermostat without a reset button
For T10 (THX321WF) and T9 (RCHT9510WF, RCHT9610WF)
- Press the Menu Icon
- Scroll down to “Thermostat Information
- Record the “Date Code”
- Press the “back” arrow, then scroll down to “Installer Options”
- Enter the Date Code when prompted to “Enter your password”
- Select “Reset”
- Select “Factory Reset”
For T5+/T5/T6 (RCHT8610WF, RCHT8612WF, TH6320WF2, TH6220WF2)
- Press and hold Menu
- Press > until you see Reset, and then select it
- Press > until you see Factory Reset, and then select it
- You’ve reset your device! You can now configure your device for its new settings, either using the Resideo App, or on the thermostat screen itself.

For VisionPRO TH8321WF
- Press Menu
- Go to Dealer Information
- Scroll to the bottom and write down the date code
- Press Done
- Scroll down to Installer Options
- Enter the date code.
- Select Reset to Defaults.
- Select Yes
- Congratulations! You’ve reset your device! You can now configure your device for its new settings via the thermostat screen.
Smart WiFi 9000 (RTH9580WF, RTH9585WF, TH9320WF)
- Press Menu, and then select Preferences
- Press Restore Factory Defaults
- Select Yes
- Congratulations! You’ve reset your device!
How to reset wifi on a Honeywell thermostat
Resetting a honeywell thermostat to factory defaults will resolve some issues such as the thermostat not responding, wifi connection inconsistent. But doing a factory reset will also remove any programming such as schedules, So if you don’t want to lose other programming on your thermostat but just want to reset the wifi, here is how to do it.
To reset wifi on T9 (RCHT9510WF, RCHT9610WF) models
- Press the Menu icon
- Scroll down to “Wi-Fi” and select it
- Select “Change Network”
- Select the new Wi-Fi network and enter the password

To reset wifi on T5+/T5/T6 (RCHT8610WF, RCHT8612WF, TH6320WF2, TH6220WF2) Models
- Press and hold Menu
- Press > until you see Reset, and then select it
- Press > until you see Wi-Fi, and then select it
- Reset is complete
