Ducane is a brand owned by Carrier Global. Unlike Carrier and Bryant (Carrier’s primary consumer and contractor brands), Ducane is distributed through a separate wholesale channel — primarily for contractors who aren’t part of the Carrier or Bryant dealer network.

How to find your Ducane’s age
The rating plate is on the inside of the furnace front panel or the outdoor unit cabinet. Ducane uses Carrier-format serial numbers. Call Carrier/Ducane support at 1-800-227-6353 with the full serial and model number.

Thermostat compatibility
Ducane equipment uses standard 24V wiring. Compatible with any thermostat: Nest, ecobee, Honeywell, etc. There is no Ducane-specific communicating thermostat protocol.

Warranty
Ducane’s standard residential warranty runs 10 years on parts with online registration (5 years without), and 20 years limited on the heat exchanger, in line with other Carrier Global (ICP) mid-tier and value brands. Confirm the exact terms for your specific model and install date directly with a Carrier-network dealer, since warranty terms have changed across model years.
Ducane vs. other brands
Ducane vs. Carrier: the same parent company, but a different channel and support tier. Carrier’s own nameplate equipment is sold through Carrier’s primary dealer network with fuller marketing and model-tier options; Ducane is positioned for independent wholesale contractors outside that network. The underlying engineering quality is comparable at matching tiers, but Ducane doesn’t offer Carrier’s premium variable-capacity or communicating systems.
